Existentialism is a philosophical movement which emphasizes on individual existence, freedom, and choice.
There are several philosophical positions all related to existential philosophy but the main identifiable common proposition, is that existence precedes essence. By this, existentialism states that man exists and in that existence man defines himself and the world in his own subjectivity, and wanders between choice, freedom, and existential angst.

We are a new group to DA called The Existentialists. While we are not interested in actively imposing our beliefs upon the community, we would be very pleased to welcome those who share our philosophies and beliefs. If you are unsure as to what existentialism is or it's principles are, please read into it, for your own interest. You can visit the link above, or send us a note.

How to Join

If you would like to join us, all are welcome
Please just send a note to either myself ~diemudd or ~mildewedflower entitled "join" and tell us to your own leisure why you would like to join our group. We encourage everyone with any interest in the philosophies of existentialism to become a member!

Other Stuff

Once we are properly established and have found our footings, we may have some community events such as competitions and such. It is all in planning right now, so ideas are welcome.
